Slow Food Anglia festival and Festivaldelgusto

Festivaldelgusto are pleased to be associated with the first Slow Food Anglia seafood festival to be held in Colchester, Essex on the 5th and 6th September. This festival will aim to promote Slow Food in the east of England to a wider public and also attract new members to the organisation in this part of England which currently does not have a local group. The event will be run in partnership with Food and Drink Festivals UK which is based in Colchester and has many years of experience organising festivals in the east of England and other parts of the country.
Festivaldelgusto holds its premier food and drink festival in Italy each September at which small Italian artisan producers showcase their produce to visitors both from Italy and other parts of the world including the UK, Holland, Germany, the USA, Canada and Australia, and in the coming years will also be concentrating on food related events in Malta and London.
We have been approached by other food and drink producers in other regions of Italy to help with holding events, and will hopefully will be now hosting festivals for these groups in 2016 and beyond.

Slow Food Anglia was formed in the autumn of 2014 to encompass all the Slow Food groups in the east of England, this includes individual groups such as Slow Food Norwich, Aylsham and East Suffolk.
These Slow Food groups would still be autonomous but the new larger structure would now be able to help co ordinate projects, events and promotional activities in the whole of the East Anglia region for all of these the groups and also for new groups that will be opened in the future.
Festivaldelgusto will also bring its expertise in fund raising to the Slow Food Anglia groups as well as giving access to a much wider database of possible supporters and members for the groups in the east of England, and eventually helping establish new contacts both in Italy and Malta.
there are already plans for the next Slow Food festival in Colchester in the autumn of 2016 and we at Festivaldelgusto will be involved both with Slow Food Anglia and the promoters in the promtion and organisation of the event.

Festivaldelgusto are very pleased to be working on an exciting new event in Malta this December held together with MCA , the Mediterranean Culinary Academy and several Slow Food groups from Italy and other Mediterranean countries. We have been planning to hold an organic and sustainable food event in Valletta the capital of Malta since the Slow Food Mediterranean conference in Valletta last October. The event will mainly be aimed toward promoting small artisan producers from around the Mediterranean region as well as representatives from many of the countries taking part. During the day there will be a series of workshops, talks and pop up street food stands as well as a dedicated kitchen where chefs can prepare dishes which are typical of their home countries. It is hoped that the event can be held outside in the streets close to the beautiful Hastings Gardens, but if this is not possible because of the weather in December then it will be relocated to an indoor venue in another part
