Slow Food and Festivaldelgusto in Norwich

We will be working with Slow Food NorwichSlow Food Anglia and Norwich City Council on the first Slow Food artisan food and life festival to be held in the city of Norwich in August 2016, this is now planned to be an annual event and we are all very pleased to have such great support from the city council in the beautiful historic city.
Slow Food Norwich was set up in Norwich in 2009 by people interested in promoting good, clean fair food in the city and also in the county of Norfolk, Slow Food Anglia was established in 2015 and is now the regional entity which helps set up new groups and also promotes and supports all the established groups across East Anglia.
Norwich City Council are very proactive in promoting environmental issues and hold several events on environmental and sustainability issues in Norwich each year including their well known One Planet Festival , they also work closely with Slow Food Norwich on the Pumpkin Waste festival events held each autumn in the city. The council environmental team is working in partnership with the Slow Food groups to bring this event to Norwich and to make it a popular and important event in the city's calendar.

The festival in Norwich in August is being held in the historic St Margaret's church in the popular Lanes area of the city and the church is very well known in Norwich for the many events that are held there throughout the year, we currently plan to run the festival from Thursday 18th to Saturday night on Saturday 20th  .
Festivaldelgusto will be helping the Slow Food groups co ordinate the three day event and we are pleased to be working with the team from Bitethebullitt who will be cooking with us on the three nights we are there and also helping us with the logistics.
Local artisan food producers will be invited to take part, also local groups involved with environmental and sustainability issues in Norwich and also artists who have an interest in food related issues in both Norwich and the wider County of Norfolk. There will also be music from local Norwich based musicians and input from other community groups, with more details available over the next month as the plans unfold.

Festivaldelgusto with Olivaverde

Festivaldelgusto will be working closely with the olive oil group Olivaverde at the new and exciting Breks Food festival in Norfolk this September. Both groups have been involved with food, drink and lifestyle festivals in London and the east of England for many years and we are looking forward to our joint cooperating with the new Breks Food festival to be held at the Fire Pit near Swaffham in September which is being held in conjunction with the annual Slow Food festival that has been held at the Fire Pit Camp over the past three years. One of the main aims of both Festivaldelgusto and Olivaverde is to be involved with local communities and events in areas in which we promote our fine artisan produced olive oils so we are very pleased to be involved with the Breks food festival for the first time. Festivaldelgusto normally are focused on events in Italy and the Mediterranean region but are pleased to be part of the Breks festival this year. The Fire Pit Camp...
